About

Founded in 2000, our service started by installing mod chips in the original playstation. We found that a lot of people had attempted these installs themselves, and in the process, had damaged their grey block playstations in some way.

Word soon spread that we could save these consoles from the landfill, and people began to call about the playstation no longer reading discs. We started to repair these problems aswell.

This is when we founded playstationrepair.co.uk – Soon enough the new slimline PSone came out, and the mod chip repairs became more popular due to the denser PCB layout. Laser problems continued, and we started to get demand from all over the world for parts.

In 2002, we changed our website to PSXRepair.com – to make us more internationally accessible, and to demonstrate that we not only deal with the first playstation console. Now the X can stand for 1, 2 or 3, and even P as in the PSP handheld console.

Here we are in 2010, still going and still growing. We offer probably the most experienced repair staff in this industry, and look forward to the challenges of the next 10 years!
